Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif sparks laughter and confusion after bizarrely claiming he flew 5 Indian fighter jets.
In an unexpected turn of events, it appears that Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif endlessly takes the internet by storm–not for launching every missile available, but to launch imagination into the stratosphere. The minister recently claimed that he not only flew but also five Indian fighter jets. Yes, you read that right, Indian fighter jets.
Bear with me for a moment, the whole country, together with the internet, paused, this time not in awe but in pure confusion. So the real question remains: Did India lend them jets? Was the Bollywood-style peace mission attempted? Or Tom Cruise retired and passed the “Top Gun” title to Asif sahab? Spoiler: none of this happened.
So like any associate at the press, they bombarded the minister for details, and as expected, Khawaja bluntly said, I saw it on social media. That, ladies and gentlemen was the source. All reporters has the same expression, and the press conference turned into a meme amazing factory. Everything being told and made on the internet somehow qualified this man as ‘Pilot Papa’ and ‘Instagram Aviator’.
So much is going viral at the same time, snapshots of the jets as planes as drones in PUBG, or TikToks are leading to the caption with 5 diagrams attached leading viewers to wonder what jets exactly are being referenced. As an expert, this is what cushions further debates, the mere mention of ‘five’ was not authorised in the parameters set.
While experts of any country in other fields could sardonically satisfy their mouth divers with tea, questions are being raised. The mere mention of ‘rent-a-jet’ schemes sparks fears of official payouts by their side.
To wrap things up, India does not seem to have any plans to invade, and Asif appears to be indulging in some daydreaming. His imagination has no limits. Have a nice journey while making sure to forewarn DG ISPR before “soaring” the next time.
