Mumbai – In a twist of plot that would make Ekta Kapoor cry with envy, Bollywood’s up-and-coming brooder Babil Khan inadvertently started a full-fledged emotional reality show on Instagram, complete with tears, tantrums, and. worms in his beard.
It all started when Babil — son of late Irrfan Khan and de facto president of the Bollywood is Fake club — went live crying, dropping names like Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Arjun Kapoor. The internet did what it does best: lost its mind. Some believed he was revealing Fakery, others believed he was just very, very stressed about Ananya’s skincare regime.
But plot twist: Babil subsequently released a clarification stating it was all a praise party, not shade. “I was just crying because Bollywood is so… beautiful,” he might or might not have said (with tissues in both hands).
Cue filmmaker Sai Rajesh, who wasn’t crying – he was furious. In a long, “I’m not mad, just disappointed” type Instagram essay, Sai accused Team Babil of ghosting, ignoring, and generally acting like the cool kids in the cafeteria. He even demanded a public apology, presumably to heal his hurt creative chakras.
But hold up – Babil snapped back with the emotional ferocity of 400 Ranbir Kapoors. “You broke my heart. I gave you my soul. I lived in filth. I had worms in my beard. I cut my wrist for this role,” he posted, somewhere between method acting and metaphysical breakdown.
The highly charged Oscar-winning remark was immediately deleted, along with the original message, but not before it had been screenshot like a venerated Bollywood scroll by Reddit detectives.
