Get ready to laugh! Ten years after the smash hit, Ajay Devgn’s uproarious sequel, Son of Sardaar 2, is bulldozing into cinemas on July 25, 2025 and is filled with loud action, desi drama – and of course there will be plenty of over-the-top turbans!
Ajay Devgn, back as Jassi the indestructible Sardaar, also released an official poster that has already gone viral! Ajay is seen on top of two tanks, turban flag waving, mustache full-on flex mode! The caption read, “The Return of the Sardaar. #SOS2.” Devgn’s fans simply flooded Instagram with “Paaji is back!,” while others shouted out loud for the dearly departed late Mukul Dev, who passed away in May, amongst their own fanfare while remembering Mukul’s role in their hearts (a big impact).
Presented and produced by Devgn Films, Jio Studios, and T-Series through an association with Darealmmoney (Gurinder Singh), and directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, this sequel features a recurring evil family feud (with Sanjay Dutt’s Billu reprising), new lady love Mrunal Thakur along with a hilarious diverse cast including Sanjay Mishra, Ravi Kishan, Kubbra Sait, Vindu Dara Singh – oh – and keep the late Mukul Dev as a ‘cameo’ on repeat once again.
Son of Sardaar 2 shot in breath-taking locales across the world including Edinburgh, London, Chandigarh, Punjab and picturesque and verdant Punjabi backdrops.
Expect a cross-continental riot of desi-style action-comedy! Some pre-production drama: Sanjay Dutt originally stepped back due to visa issues, with Ravi Kishan temporarily taking the role to shoot scenes in the UK—but rest assured that both stars are in the final edit.
Fans are going wild. Live Mint reports that social feeds are blowing-up with “super excited,” “WOW,” and the booming saudade of returning Sardaar-magic. Even the teaser trailer—to be released in late June alongside Kajol’s new horror piece—has generated excitement.
Stay tuned to the buzz: Ajay Devgn is promoting SOS2 on The Great Indian Kapil Show starting June 21; we can expect mascot-level mischief and non-stop laughter.
So mark your date for July 25, 2025. Son of Sardaar 2 pledges double the drama, double the dhol, and a Sardaar that is so loud that the soundproof theaters will be begging mercy. Paaji is back—and bringing the house down.
