Nia and Bharti, dressed in traditional clothing, headed out to the fields where Nia rolled up her sleeves and did her first buffalo milking. She was a little apprehensive at first, but Nia found the process exciting and said, “This is harder than it looks, but I am getting it!”Bharti was up for the challenge, but she skipped the milking process and instead plunged directly to the fountain of fresh milk!
Bharti milked a big steady stream of milk, and held it up for the captivated villagers. “Who knew I could do this?” she laughed, as the villagers bustled in laughter!Videos and photos of the escapade quickly made their way to social media, with fans praising the actresses for embracing the rural lifestyle with such gusto.
“How cool! To see celebrities step way out of their comfort zone and engage with grassroots, like this, is so heart warming.” One of the event users exclaimed to a Bajeli host on the day.The whole experience was fun, and a lot of fun, but also the whole experience was educational too. Both Nia and Bharti walked away from the day with a greater respect for the work and dedication of farmers. “It is one thing to see it on TV, but to be here doing it – it humbling,” Nia mentioned. The summertime adventure turned out to be more than just a good time, it also made everyone involved realize the importance of understanding the rural backbone of the country.
